Sorry to take this thread sideways but I believe that is an SNJ-4 in your photo, Tom.

That's me in the back seat getting ready for takeoff for an aerobatic flight over the Pacific in 2001. It was my birthday present from the wife and kids (my son was stationed at Coronado).

Saturday, March 31, 2001 was the exact date @ McClellan-Palomar Airport, Carlsbad, CA.

Great aircraft, though, wasn't it! I think it was my favorite of all the planes I've flown.
