Re: New Microsoft Flight Simulator coming in 2020

Could be a game changer for me (sorry for the pun). I've been thinking of changing platforms now that I no longer am doing CAD work or bringing work from home. My PC is used primarily for flight simulation, digital photo editing and storage, and social media. If I migrate to Xbox for flight simulati...

Re: Welcome

But honestly, I would REALLY recommend switching to Prepar3D. It's soooo much better 8-) There is still a lot of debate regarding migrating to P3D. ;) Although there are benefits to going to a 64 bit platform, it still lacks a lot of addons for scenery, etc. as compared to FSX. I have so much inves...

Re: Wrong, outdated information?

How about a tool tip? There is a tool tip in the VC for the steps which are now handled by Heinrick.

While you're at it, how about some instructions on the directional gyro? Not sure how to use it.

Re: Your thoughts about the side-bar

The side-bar works for me. Only suggestion I have is for the configuration page. I would relocate the "Save and Close" function directly under the Audio options. At first I thought it pertained to the aircraft state (e.g., "Cold and Dark, etc.) until I read the manual. I was also wondering if it wou...

Hotfix feedback

So far, so good. But there are still some minor issues I need to figure out. ;) I installed the hotfix and loaded the Vega. Still, the "Ready for Flight" feature did not fully start the aircraft. I had to resort to "Ctrl+E" to taxi. After getting airborne, I noted a lot of backfires. Apparently the ...

Cowl shake?

Just a quick question on v0.85 update.

When I've successfully been able to start and take off, I did not see any cowl shake effect as with the initial version. Has this been removed?

Re: I Must Be Doing Something Wrong - It Won't Move!

Just tried another flight with your suggested method, and still could not get the aircraft to properly start or move. I should add then when I use the "Ready to Fly" option, the engine (and every gauge) starts, stutters and eventually dies along with the sound. I often have to use "Ctrl+E" in additi...

Re: I Must Be Doing Something Wrong - It Won't Move!

I'll give your method a try. I did what you suggested earlier except for the "wait a bit". One approach that did work was to load and start another aircraft, then switch over to the Vega. The Vega was in a "Cold and Dark" state and all was fine after selecting "Ready to Fly." I'll do some more testi...
