Re: extremely strange

Had something similar with DC-8-55...but only in Slew mode...aircraft would just start moving extremely fast. Finally traced it to my throttle quadrant...had to disable the mixture and propeller controls and then never had problem again. Have not seen this with the Vega even if I forget to disable t...

Re: Request a feature

Otmar, Just purchased the ATSimulations Antonov An-2...it has the A2A rain and working wipers...and they actually wipe the drops off the windscreen. So there must be a way to do it. I did see where Lewis at A2A offered to help you with this. How great...rain and wipers and sound (no sound on the An-...

Re: Need an idea where to go?

Unless you have some performance documentation that says otherwise, I would go with "they lied". I'm getting 152mph IAS at 29"mp very consistent. You might be interested in a few months ago I did a flight with my DC-8-50 from KSFO to KORD and used a 1963 United Airlines timetable. I was just a few m...

Re: Need an idea where to go?

Just completed the 1931 Braniff schedule. Did ok on time to Kansas City, but next day to Tulsa had 40 kts headwinds so was very late. Did not even shut off the motor at Tulsa with only a 5 min turnaround as I deplaned 3 passengers and 40 kilos of baggage and boarded the same. Still lost more time ge...

Re: Ground Handling/Taxing

I don't think on the real VEGA it used a steerable tail wheel...but used a kind of differential braking tied to the rudder pedals. If you look closely at the tail wheel, from behind, with the aircraft not moving...you will see as you deflect the rudder the tail wheel does not move. Problem on takeof...

Ground Handling/Taxing

I find the ground handling very sensitive. Difficult, or impossible, for me to keep a straight line while taxing (I know you're supposed to do little turns to see around the cowl...but still). Same on initial takeoff roll. I use Saitek Rudder Pedals and have tried dialing down the sensitivity and in...

Re: Hotfix feedback

V4.4. Thanks. I assume I just put the .cab file into the Sim’s Gauge folder and once the panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg are set up, per your input, then good to go.
